Exchanges:
We cannot offer merchandise exchanges on orders shipped internationally. If you need to exchange an item, please return the item and place a new order for your desired product.
Sales Tax
Ourowncandlecompany.com collects sales tax on all orders being shipped within the state of Texas. Sales tax is calculated, based upon local Texas sales tax. There is no tax collected on international orders or for orders shipped outside of the state of Texas. Candle Making Class or Workshop:
Conditions: As the purchaser(s) of the Candle Making Class or Workshop, I understand it is my responsibility to acknowledge the applicable liability waiver by consenting to the terms and conditions.
All participants must be 18 or older.
When Purchaser is Host: As the purchaser and host of this Candle Making Class or Workshop, I understand that it is my responsibility to inform each attendee of the Candle Making Class or Workshop of WG Candle Company's Terms and Conditions which includes Conditions, Cancellations, and Late Policy. Waiver of Liability: Release Policy, Photo/Video consent, Photo/Video (minor) consent, Medical Attention, and Hazard Acknowledgment
As the purchaser of the Candle Making Class or Workshop, you have acknowledged that you have reviewed the entirety of our Terms and Conditions and Waiver of Liability (below for reference) and agreed to inform each attendee/guest of the terms mentioned in detail above.
Cancellations: Must be within 1 day before the event date to receive a deposit/guest refund. Refunds can take 7-10 business days to be credited depending on your banking policies. If cancellation occurs on the day of the event store credit by e-gift card will be issued.
Late Policy: If you or your party will be more than 10 minutes late please call WG Candle Company, at 817-522-3864 to reschedule. We like to ensure everyone has a great experience while remaining mindful of everyone's time.
Private Candle Making Parties
Conditions: Each private party must contain a 4 participant minimum/12 maximum with 7 days booking in advance. The host must provide a deposit to secure the requested date along with the contact details of each participant for WG Candle Company to invoice and acknowledge liability waivers by purchasing an event.
All participants must be 18 or older.
When Purchaser is Host: As the purchaser and host of this Private Candle Making Class, I understand that it is my responsibility to inform each attendee of my Private Candle Class of WG Candle Company's Terms and Conditions which includes Conditions, Cancellations, and Late Policy. Waiver of Liability: Release Policy, Photo/Video consent, Photo/Video (minor) consent, Medical Attention, Hazard Acknowledgment, and Alcohol.
As the purchaser of the Private Candle Making Class you have acknowledged that you have reviewed the entirety of our Terms and Conditions and Waiver of Liability (below for reference) and agreed to inform each attendee/guest of the terms mentioned in detail above.
Cancellations: Must be within 3 days before the event date to receive a deposit/guest refund. Refunds can take 7-10 business days to be credited depending on your banking policies. If the host/guests cancel after 3 days but no later than the event date store credit by e-gift card will be issued. Cancellations received outside of the mentioned will not qualify for refunds or store credit unless determined by Wigenton Candle Co. management.
Late Policy: If you or your party will be more than 15 minutes late please call WG Candle Company at 817-522-3864 to reschedule. We like to ensure everyone has a great experience while remaining mindful of everyone's time.
WG Candle Company Candle Making Class, Workshop Waiver of Liability:
For any and all of WG Candle Company's candle making classes, workshops or private events.
RELEASE/WAIVER: I hereby agree to indemnify and hold WG Candle Company, and its employees entirely free from any liability, against any and all claims for personal injuries or damages arising from participation (by myself, and or participating minor) in any candle-making workshop, classes, or private events. This includes financial responsibility for injuries incurred (by myself, and or participating minors) both on and off-premises of WG Candle Company regardless of whether injuries are caused by negligence.
PHOTO/VIDEO CONSENT: WG Candle Company reserves the right to use photos, videos, and other media taken during classes, workshops, and other events for publicity materials and social media. Registration in candle-making classes and or private events givesWG Candle Company permission to use those images without further consent or compensation.
PHOTO/VIDEO MINOR CONSENT: I hereby give permission for images of the minor, captured during candle/wax-making through video, photo, and digital camera, to be used solely for the purposes of WG Candle Company promotional material and publications, and waive any rights of compensation or ownership thereto.
MEDICAL ATTENTION: I hereby acknowledge if an allergic reaction or skin irritation occurs (by myself, and or participating minor) from the fragrance oils and or materials exposed during or after the candle-making event, I hold harmless and release any, and all liability from WG Candle Company, as well as any owners or employees of WG Candle Company for any condition or result, that may arise as a consequence of medical attention being required.
HAZARD ACKNOWLEDGEMENT: I understand the risk involved as the nature of melted soy wax at high temperatures which may rise up to 200 degrees Fahrenheit and hot equipment including but not limited to hot glue and pouring pots, it is the responsibility of the acknowledged to ensure caution (by myself, and or participating minors). WG Candle Company and its employees cannot accept liability for any personal injury or damages suffered related to or involving the premises of the event or participation in activities by WG Candle Company. Every effort is made by WG Candle Company and its employees to ensure your safety while at the event premises and during the course of the workshop or private event.
ALCOHOL: If I am to consume alcohol, I agree that I am over the age of 21 and will drink responsibly and do so at my own risk. I affirm I have designated a driver or will call for transportation or a responsible driver in the event I am too impaired to drive. WG Candle Company will not provide alcohol however upon approval of management and the type of event BYOB will be approved. WG Candle Company holds the right to ask any participant for ID prior to entering the premises and if they are found under the age of 21 access will not be allowed and a refund for that individual will not be given.
I fully understand and acknowledge that the workshops and/or activities offered by WG Candle Company may involve inherent risks, dangers, and hazards that may result in injury or illness (by myself, and or participating minors). I hereby agree to release, waive, discharge, hold harmless, defend and indemnify WG Candle Company, its managers, members, and employees from any and all claims, actions, or losses for bodily injury, property damage, wrongful death, or otherwise, which may arise from (by myself, and or participating minor) in voluntary participation in any workshops or classes, resulting products from workshops or classes, or from use of equipment provided by WG Candle Company I accept full liability for the candles and/or wax melts made (by myself, and or participating minors) during the workshop which I acknowledge for.
Thank you for your purchase from WG Candle Company. If you are not 100% satisfied with your purchase for any reason, we are here to help! In the event you are not completely satisfied with your purchase, we offer a 14-day exchange policy, which means you have 14 days after receiving your item to request an exchange. Unfortunately due to the nature of our business, we are unable to offer refunds. Shipping charges incurred with your original order are non-refundable as well.
To be eligible for an exchange, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unused, with labels, and in its original packaging. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase.
To start an exchange, you can contact us at jamie@wgcandlecompany.com. If your exchange is accepted, we’ll send you a return shipping label, as well as instructions on how and where to send your package. Items sent back to us without first requesting an exchange will not be accepted. You will be responsible for paying the shipping cost to return your item.

Damages and issues
Please inspect your order upon reception and contact us immediately if the item is defective, damaged or if you receive the wrong item, so that we can evaluate the issue and make it right. Please also include photos of the damage or issue.
Exceptions / non-returnable items
Certain types of items cannot be returned, like perishable goods (such as food, flowers, or plants), custom products (such as special orders or personalized items), and personal care goods (such as beauty products). Please contact us if you have questions or concerns about your specific item.
Exchanges
We will notify you once we’ve received and inspected your return, and will let you know if the exchange was approved or not. If approved, you will automatically be shipped a new item of the same value. Please allow 7-10 business days for processing.
